Roads Generally Not Affected By Storm

An advisory lasted until about 9 p.m.

Updated: 11:35 p.m.

Snow fell on Mt. Airy roads this afternoon but they don't appear to be have been affected too badly.

Lincoln Drive was moving along relatively slowly in parts during rush hour but that wasn't because of the snow, which isn't sticking to roads. (That's what generally happens during rush hour.) Instead, it's staying on trees and plants, but not on hard surface.

Germantown Avenue wasn't really affected either.

Salt trucks weren't been spotted around Mt. Airy. But there was real need for them since roads aren't really slippery this afternoon.

The National Weather Service, meanwhile, issued a winter weather advisory for Philadelphia that last until just after 9 p.m.
