Below is this week's installment of Whiz Kid, during which we highlight the special accomplishments of neighborhood kids or teenagers.

This week's Whiz Kid: Sonja Clark, 7

School: C.W. Henry School

Accomplishment: An art show and reception recently held at the School District of Philadelphia's Education Center featured the work of several young artists, including Clark's eye-catching cupcakes still life. Clark's work was submitted by a Henry art teacher for the competition. The event was co-sponsored by the district and the Philadelphia High School for Girls.

Key to Awesomeness: If you've visited the High Point Cafe, Mindy Flexer's Art Studio or the School District of Philadelphia administrative offices, you may have seen Clark's award-winning work. Clark is also a bubbly second grader who loves painting, drawing, and crafting in her spare time.
