Update: Black Olive Owner Pleads Not Guilty, According to Report

Ina M. Walker was indicted this week.

 

An owner of the Black Olive restaurant and health food store, who were charged this week with defrauding a charter school they ran in Cedarbrook to finance their business interests, have pleaded not guilty, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The Inquirer reported Ina M. Walker pleaded not guilty to 27 counts in front of a federal magistrate judge and was released on a $25,000 recognizance bond. Walker was the chief executive officer of New Media Technology Charter School in Cedarbrook and has been charged with improperly using $522,000 in federal money intended to help fund the school.

The school's former president and Walker's business partner, Hugh C. Clark, is expected to be arraigned next week.

New Update: January 21, 2012, Ina changed her plea to guilty and agreed to testify against Clark at his trial which is starts on April 2, 2012. Here is the link:
