News Next Door: Catholic Schools Work to Raise Money For Other Institutions
It's happening in Narberth.
Not every Catholic school in the region is closing. So some of the ones that are remaining open are working to raise money for other organizations.
A Catholic K-8—St. Margaret School— in Narberth is not closing, so it can afford to raise money for another institution (in this case a food bank) instead.
Meanwhile, in Mt. Airy, Holy Cross School awaits an appeal decision that will determine its fate next year. It's scheduled to merge with Our Lady of Consolation in Chestnut Hill next year.
It's raising money for itself right now, but parents, we're sure, would welcome any sort of fundraising they can get.
