Don’t miss out on this opportunity to win a $100,000 gift to the School District of Philadelphia.
Patch.com is launching a nationwide contest to find the best dressed home in its Patch communities, and the winner’s public school district will receive $100,000, no strings attached.
Here’s how the contest works. Beginning Thursday and continuing through Dec. 26, you can nominate your home by uploading a photo to the contest entry form on the site.
During that same time period you and your neighbors will also be able to vote for your favorite festive home.
The winning entry will be forwarded to a national Patch judge who will select 24 finalists. Each finalist will receive $500 that they can apply to their December electric bill.
Then, from Dec. 30 through Jan. 8, you will be able to vote for the Best Decked House in all of Patch. The grand prize winner’s public school district will receive a $100,000 check from Patch.
So, get out your lights and ladders (and your competitive spirit)! Whether your style is sophisticated or silly, we want you to dress up your house in the name of good cheer and our kids. At the very least, Mt. Airy Patch will be decked out like it’s never been before.

Does the house have to be in Mt Airy (for a submission to Mt Airy Patch)?

Yes and no. It does need to be in a zip code where there's a Patch site (so it could also be in Chestnut Hill, or Manayunk, or Roxborough), and if it's in one of those neighborhoods (or other Patch areas; you can see where all the Patch sites are at patch.com), you can upload the photo right to that site's contest. To submit to our contest, though, it needs to be in the 19119 zip code. Hope that makes sense - you can find other contests by manipulating the URL that you would use to enter our contest (so it would be deckthehouse.patch.com/contest/chestnuthill.patch.com. for Chestnut Hill, for instance).
