Appeal Formally Filed in Parker DUI Case
The state filed the appeal, saying a judge's Facebook friendship with the politician is improper.
The state Attorney General's office has appealed Judge Charles Hayden's decision to suppress evidence in the drunken driving case against state Rep. Cherelle Parker, according to an article on Philly.com.
The petition, which was filed Tuesday in Common Pleas Court, also appeals the judge's refusal to recuse himself despite being Facebook friends with the defendant, the article continued.
Deputy Attorney General John Flannery said that the officers' testimony was credible and that Parker's testimony "was completely incredible."
